Compaq Computer Corp yesterday extended its line with a 20MHz Deskpro 386/20e, claiming it offers up to 50% performance than IBM’s 16MHz PS/2 70-E61, and up to 25% over the 20MHz PS/2 70-121 and 80-111. It includes integrated VGA graphics controller claimed to be 50% faster than that on the PS/2. It has 32Kb static RAM cache and comes with 1Mb CPU and 1.2Mb 5.25 floppy, $5,200, UKP3,200; 29mS access buffered 40Mb disk, $6,600, UKP3,800; and 25mS access buffered 110Mb disk, $8,000, UKP4,800. The Deskpro 386/25 Model 60 was also added here at UKP4,700.
