Waltham, Massachusetts-based Raptor Systems Inc has signed a comprehensive network security products deal with Compaq Computer Corp under which Compaq has rights to distribute Raptor’s EagleNT, the company’s core firewall security product line, on any Compaq server. Raptor said the companies plan to work together to develop new products; as part of the initial deal, Compaq committed to buy a significant quantity of Raptor products. Prior to Raptor’s initial public offering in February 1996, Compaq invested $6m in it. Financial terms were not disclosed.
