American Software Inc saw second quarter net profits of $489,000 against a loss of $2.9m last time on turnover up 5.6% at $21.4m; mid-term net profits were $777,000 against a loss of $5.9m last time on turnover up 10.0% at $42.4m. Net earnings per share was $0.02 in the quarter, $0.03 in the half.

Centennial Technologies Inc has reported first quarter net profit up 368.0% at $658.7m on turnover that soared 180.9% to $6.4m. Net earnings per share were up 233% to $0.10.

Dataguard Recovery Services Inc has reported third quarter net profits of $222,047 up from profits of just $2,333 last time on turnover up 111.5% at $2.5m; nine month net profit was $523,670 against a loss of $86,252 last time, on turnover that soared by 100.5% to $6.7m. Net earnings per share were $0.04 in the quarter, $0.10 in the nine months.

Computer Concepts Inc saw a third quarter net loss of $5.4m against a profit last time of $46,000 on turnover down 15.2% at $4.3m; nine month net losses were $13.6m up from $1.7m last time that included $3.2m non-recurring charges related to the Superbase subsidiary, on turnover up 21.9% at $12.0m.

Incomnet Inc saw third quarter net down 46.6% at 564,845 on turnover up 77.3% at $22.7m; nine-month net rose 32.0% to $3.5m on turnover up 102.4% at $3.5m. Net per share rose 263.6% to $0.4 in the quarter and remained flat at $0.28 in nine months.

MDL Information Systems Inc has reported second quarter net profits up 53.0% at $1.8m on turnover up 18.2% at $14.0m; mid-term net profits rose to $2.8m from $108,000 for the same time last year, on turnover that was up 24.2% at $27.2m. Net earnings per share were up 35.7% to $0.19 in the quarter, and to $0.31 from $0.01 last time in the half.

National Computer Systems Inc saw third quarter net up 34.8% at $6.2m on sales up 2.9% at $97.3m; nine month net rose 26.1% to $14.2m on sales up 6.8% at $260.1m. Net per share rose 30% to $0.39 in the quarter, 21.6% to $0.90 in the nine months.

National Datacomputer Inc saw third quarter net losses of $275,783 up from $21,186 last time on turnover down 8.4% at $1.5m; net losses for the nine months were $22,323 against a profit of $466,487 last time on turnover up 8.4% to $5.4m.

NBI Inc has reported first quarter net profits up 489.6% at $395,000 on turnover that rose 216.6% to $2.8m. Net earnings per share rose 500% to $0.06.

Nestor Inc has reported first quarter net losses of $425,509 down from a loss last time of $571,992on turnover that rose 48.7% to $1.0m.

Noise Canellation Technologies Inc saw third quarter net losses of $2.3m down from a loss last time of $6.0m on turnover down 57.8% at $1.1m; nine month net losses were $4.8m down from a loss last time of $14.5m on turnover up 8.3% at $6.5m.

Semtech Corp saw third quarter net profits of $1.9m against $302,000 last time on turnover up 99.1% at $16.6m; nine month net profits were $5.0m against $701,000 last time on turnover up 81.2% at $44.0m. Net earnings per share rose 500% to $0.30 in the quarter, 550% to $0.78 in the three quarters net of a one-time acquisition related cost of $492,000.

Andyne Computing Ltd has reported fourth quarter net losses of $486,000 against a profit last time of $237,000 on turnover up 9.6% at $2.0m. Figures are converted at $0.7381 to the Canadian dollar.

Groupe Videotron Ltee has reported net profits for the year up 0.3% at $15.1m on turnover up 16.8% to $547.3m. Net per share rose 18.2% to $0.13. Figures converted at $0.7390 to the Canadian dollar.

On Demand Information Plc has reported net losses for the year to July 31 of ú3.7m, up from ú2.6m losses last time, on turnover from continuing operations up 68.2% to ú8.8m. The non-electronic publishing operations were separated and re-incorporated into Poulter Communications Plc. Pre-tax losses were ú3.6m, up from ú2.6m losses last time.
