Atmel Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 101.1% at $31.2m, on turnover up 71.1% at $168.8m; nine month net profits rose 81.1% to $75.6m, on turnover that was up 32.5% at $434.0m. Net earnings per share rose 82.4% to $0.31 in the quarter, 65.6% to $0.78 in the three quarters.

Hytek Microsystems Inc has reported third quarter net profits of $168,000, against $72,000 losses last time, on turnover up 36.9% at $1.3m; nine month net profits rose to ú238,000 from $14,000 last time, on turnover up 14.6% at $3.5m. Net earnings per share were $0.06 in the quarter, and up to $0.09 from $0.01 in the three quarters.

Iomega Corp has reported third quarter net profits down 17.9% at $2.0m, against a period including a $1.4m tax gain, on turnover up 138.4% at $84.7m; nine month net losses were $1.4m, down from $3.2m losses last time, on turnover up 72.4% at $177.4m. Net earnings per share fell 23.1% to $0.10 in the quarter. Earnings per share figures are adjusted for a five-for-four stock split in November 1994.

Motorola Inc has reported that third quarter net profits rose 30.5% at $496.0m on turnover that rose 21.0% at $6,851m. Net profit for the nine months rose 29.1% at $1,349m on turnover up 25.0% at $19,739m. Net earnings per share rose 25% at $0.81 in the quarter, 23% to $2.21 in the nine months.

Printronix Inc reported second quarter net profits up 26.5% at $1.9m, on turnover up 15.2% at $39.5m; mid-term net profits rose 57.4% to $4.6m, on turnover up 20.6% at $81.7m. Net per share rose 20.7% to $0.35 in the quarter, 50% to $0.84 in the half.

Skyline Multimedia Entertainment Inc has reported fourth quarter net losses of $635,000 on turnover of $1.4m; net losses for the year were $2.2m on turnover of $2.2m. Skyline Multimedia Entertainment had no revenues before February 21 and therefore did not report any results from last year.

Unicomp Inc reported second quarter net profits up 44.4% at $581,509, on turnover up 19.2% at $4.9m; mid-term net profits rose 45.2% to $1.1m, on turnover up 20.6% at $9.7m. Net per share rose 20% to $0.12 in the quarter, 33.3% to $0.24 in the half.

Video Display Corp has reported second quarter net profits up 209.3% at $365,000, on turnover that fell 3.5% to $11.5m; mid-term net profits rose 74.9% to $962,000, on turnover that was down 5.1% at $23.4m. Net earnings per share rose 200% to $0.09 in the quarter, 84.6% to $0.24 in the half.

GrandeTel Technologies Inc saw second quarter net losses of $1.8m up from a loss last time of $1.3m on turnover up 132.3% at $4.9m; mid-term net losses were $7.0 up from a loss last time of $4.7m on turnover that rose 189.5% at $16.3m. The figures were converted at $0.7525 to the C anadian dollar.

Olicom A/S has reported third quarter net profits down 15.5% at $3.3m, on turnover up 6.8% at $31.3m; nine month net profits fell 5.2% to $8.8m, on turnover up 10.1% at $91.5m. Net earnings per share were down 11.5% to $0.23 in the quarter, and down 32.3% to $0.60 in the three quarters. The Danish company reports its figures in US dollars.

Quality Software Products Plc reported net and pre-tax profits for the six months to June 30 up 33.2% at ú805,000, on turnover that rose 39.2% to ú10.1m. Earnings per share were up 31.9% to 9.1 pence.

Trafficmaster Plc has reported net losses for the six months to June 30 of ú1.1m up from losses last time of ú773,000, on turnover up 171% to ú1.3m.
