Actel Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 32.1% at $2.9m, on turnover up 47.5% at $29.8m; nine month net losses were $5.0m, against $5.6m profits last time, on turnover up 37.4% at $76.0m. Net per share rose 7.7% to $0.14 in the quarter.

Alantec Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 155.6% at $2.9m, on turnover up 115.6% at $13.9m; nine month net profits rose to $7.3m, from $2.3m profits last time, on turnover up 120.5% at $36.5m. Net per share rose 92.3% to $0.25 in the quarter, 161.5% to $0.68 in the three quarters.

CDW Computer Centers Inc saw third quarter net up 53.2% at $5.3m on turnover up 43.3% at $161.1m. Net per share rose 48% to $0.37 in the quarter.

Datapoint Corp has reported fourth quarter net losses of $3.7m against losses last time of $85m that included a pre-tax charge of $57.7m from goodwill write-off and a #1.7m pre-tax restructuring charge on turnover up 12.3% at $49.1m; net loss for the year to July 29 was $28.3m, down from a loss last time of $93.4m that included pre-tax restructuring charges of $9.2m on sales up 1.1% to $174.9m.

DSP Group Inc has reported third quarter net profits up 57.2% at $2.5m, on turnover up 49.3% at $13.1m; nine month net profits rose 172.8% to $6.6m, on turnover that was up 106.1% at $37.4m. Net earnings per share rose 52.9% to $0.26 in the quarter, 155.6% to $0.69 in the three quarters.

Logic Devices Inc reported third quarter net profits up 105.1% at $411,000, on turnover up 30.4% at $4.5m; nine month net profits rose to $1.1m, from $499,000 profits last time, on turnover up 25.8% at $12.5m. Net per share doubled to $0.08 in the quarter, rose 110% to $0.21 in the three quarters.

Medic Computer Systems Inc has reported third quarter net profits up 44.1% at $3.9m, struck after a $295,000 acquisition charge, on turnover up 33.9% at $37.1m that included revenues of about $566,000 from third quarter acquisitions; nine-month net rose 55.2% to $10.9m on turnover that rose 33.1% at $102.2m. Net earnings per share rose 32% to $0.33 in the quarter, 48% to $0.95 in the nine months.

Network Peripherals Inc has reported third quarter net profits down 31.8% at $1.0m, on turnover up 16.8% at $9.7m; nine month net profits rose 57.5% to $5.5m, on turnover up 69.2% at $36.7m. Net earnings per share were down 40% to $0.09 in the quarter, 14.6% to $0.47 in the three quarters.

Rockwell International Corp saw fourth quarter net of $14.5m at $189,000 on turnover up 22.7% at $3.5m; net profit for the year to September 30 was up 17.0% at $742,000 on turnover that rose 16.7% to $13.0m. Net earnings per share rose 17.3% to $0.88 in the quarter, 19.2% to $3.42 in the year.

Spyglass Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits up 126.8% at $1.2m on turnover that rose 61.3% at $3.3m; net for the year to November 1 was up 63.4% at $2.2m on turnover that was up 185.2% to $10.4m. Net earnings per share rose 33.3% in the quarter to $0.20 and 233.3% to $0.50 in the year.

Varian Associates Inc reported fourth quarter net profits up 112.1% at $57.1m, on turnover up 7.2% at $406.7m; net profits for the year to September 30 were up 75.5% at $139.3m, on turnover that rose 20.0% to $1.6m. Net per share rose 117.1% to $1.65 in the quarter, and 78.3% to $3.96 in the year.

Hong Kong Telecommunications Ltd has reported net profits for the six months to September up 14.8% to the equivalent of $622.4m, on turnover that was up 9.6% to $1,883.7m. Net earnings per share were up 14.9% to $0.06 in the six months. The figures were converted at $0.1293 to the Hong Kong dollar.

Telecom Corp of New Zealand Ltd has turned in net profits for the six months to September 30 that were up 15.5% to the equivalent of $233.8m, on turnover that was up 11.7% to $1,011.1m. Net earnings per share rose 15.5% to $1.18. Figures converted at $0.6609 to the New Zealand dollar.

er that rose 92.7% to ú72.7m. At the pre-tax level, profits were up to ú4.4m, from ú1.1m last time. Earnings per share rose to 13.6 pence, up from 3.7 pence last time.
