COMPANY RESULTS

Apple Computer Inc has reported that second quarter net profits crashed 84.3% at $17.4m on turnover that rose 5.2% at $2,076.7m. Mid-term net profit slumped 78.9% at $57.4m on turnover that rose 14.4% at $4,545.5m. Net earnings per share fell 84% to $0.15 in the quarter, 78% to $0.49 in the half.
