BC Telecom Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits down 13.7% at the equivalent of $43.1m on turnover that rose 7.9% at $435.3m; net profit for the year to December 31 was up 4.3% at $163.3m on turnover that rose 8.5% to $1,682.3m. Net earnings per share slipped 15.8% to $0.37 in the quarter, 1.7% to $1.38 in the year. The figures have been converted at $0.761 to the Canadian dollar.
