Amtech Corp has reported third quarter net losses of $422,000, against $503,000 profits the same period last year, on turnover up 100.8% at $24.5m; nine month net losses were $2.0m, against $7.6m profits last time, on turnover up 3.6% at $51.5m.

Brite Voice Systems Inc has reported third quarter net losses of $2.2m that included a charge of $3.5m in expenses associated with the acquisition of four related Telecom Services Ltd companies and a write off of certain assets against a profit last time of $1.2m on turnover that was up 16.7% at $24.1m.

Digital Microwave Corp saw second quarter net profits down to $270,000, from $2.3m last time, on turnover up 12.7% at $41.8m; mid-term net profits fell to $512,000, from $4.2m profits last time, on turnover up 14.2% at $81.5m. Net per share fell to $0.02 in the quarter, from $0.17 last time, and down to $0.04 in the half, from $0.31 last time.

DSP Communications Inc saw third quarter net up 188.6% at $2.6m on turnover up 155.8% at $12.8m; nine-month net rose 200.9% to $4.4m on turnover up 130.9% at $25.1m. Net per share rose 85.7% to 0.26 in the quarter, 150% to $0.50 in the nine months.

DTC Data Technology Corp has reported second quarter net losses of $2.0m against a profit last time of $93,000 on turnover down 21.4% at $2.7m; mid-term net losses were $2.2m up from a loss last time of $1.8m on turnover down 1.6% at $6.4m.

Electronic Fab Technology Corp has reported third quarter net losses of $212,881 against a profit last time of $565,463 on turnover that was down 21.5% at $11.7m; nine-month net fell 86.3% to $211,637 on turnover down 7.5% at $36.1m.

Excel Technology Inc has reported third quarter net up 28.4% at $787,000 on sales up 12.3% at $10.9m; nine-month net rose 32.4% to $2.0m on turnover up 23.3% at $31.1m. Net per share rose 28.6% to $0.09 in the quarter, 35.3% to $0.23 in the nine months.

General Signal Corp saw third quarter net down 7.2% at $25.6m on turnover up 16.8% at $455.5m; nine-month net rose 1.7% to $76.3m on turnover up 15.9% at $1,287.9m. Net per share fell 6.9% to $0.54 in the quarter, 1.9% to $1.61 in the nine months.

Mylex Inc has reported third quarter net profits down 50.2% at $3.2m on turnover up 74.8% at $28.2m; nine-month net rose 71.0% to $8.0m on turnover up 53.5% at $67.4m. Net per share rose 42.9% to $0.20 in the quarter, 61.3% to $0.50 in the nine months.

Nashua Corp has reported third quarter net losses of $7.3m against a profit last time of $2.4m on turnover up 6.6% at $136.2m; nine-month net losses were $5.3m on turnover up 9.4% at $397.6m.

Network General Corp saw second quarter net down 94.1% at $310,000 that included a one-time charge of $7.2m related to the acquisition of AIM Technology Inc on turnover up 35.1% at $43.7m; mid-term net down 23.4% to $7.5m on turnover up 33.7% at $83.5m. Net earnings per share fell 95.8% to $0.01 in the quarter and fell 26.7% to $0.33 in the half.

Octel Communications Corp reported first quarter net profit up 72.8% at $6.6m on turnover up 7.6% to $113.7m. Net per share rose 66.7% to $0.25. Orbit Semiconductor Inc saw third quarter net down 22.5% at $1.1m on turnover up 2.7% at $13.5m; nine-month net rose 28.2% to $4.6m on turnover up 23.3% at $44.6m. Net per share fell 47.8% to $0.12 in the quarter, fell 13.1% to $0.53 in the nine months.

PacifiCorp has reported third quarter net profits up 29.0% at $169.0m, after a $37m gain after the purchase of the remaining 13% of Pacific Telecom Inc’s shares, on turnover that was up 7.1% at $849.7m; nine month net profits rose 10.5% to $377.3m, on turnover that fell 4.0% to $2,511.8m. Net earnings per share rose 30.2% to $0.56 in the quarter, 10.9% to $1.22 in the three quarters.

Penril Datacommunications Networks Inc has reported fourth quarter net losses of $3.9m, against profit of $301,000 the same period last year, on turnover down 7.0% at $15.3m; net losses for the year to July 31 were $7.7m, against $1.5m profits last time, on turnover that was down 14.2% to $58.2m.

Raychem Corp has reported first quarter net profits of $32.4m against losses the same period last year of $56.9m on turnover that was up 11.5% to $410.5m.

Sierra On-Line Inc has reported second quarter net profits of $3.3m, against $850,000 losses last time, on turnover up 63.2% at $31.8m; mid-term net profits were $3.3m, against $5.0m losses last time, on turnover up 64.7% at $53.2m. Net earnings per share were $0.17 in the quarter, $0.17 in the half.

Sungard Data Systems Inc saw third quarter net up 15.6% at $35.3m on turnover up 19.6% at $378.7m; nine-month net rose 11.7% to $12.0m on turnover up 20.2% at $132.1m. Net per share rose 20.3% to $0.95 in the quarter, 21.4% to $0.34 in the nine months.

Vertex Industries Inc has reported fourth quarter net losses of $1.2m, after an $800,765 restructuring charge, on turnover down 65.9% at $366,986; net losses for the year to July 31 were $1.2m, after the same charge, up from $607,840 losses last time, on turnover that was down 21.6% to $3.1m.

Zitel Corp has reported net profits for the year to September of $8.5m against a loss of $7.0m last time on turnover that was up 35.9% to $23.7m.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd has reported third quarter net profits up 179.4% at $5.7m, on turnover up 73.3% at $26.1m; nine month net profits rose 192.8% to $14.0m, on turnover up 74.3% at $70.8m. Net earnings per share rose 86.8% to $1.27 in the quarter, 51.7% to $0.44 in the three quarters. The Israeli company reports its figures in US dollars.
