AmeriQuest Technologies Inc has reported fourth quarter net losses of $58.1m, up from $3.3m losses last time, on turnover up to $110.9m, from $24.6m last time; net losses for the year to June 30 were $67.6m, up from $8.0m losses last time, on turnover that was up to $416.6m, from $87.6m last time.

Aura Systems Inc has reported second quarter net losses of $957,000, against profits of $258,000 last time, on turnover up 92.4% at $18.1m; mid-term net losses were $1.7m, up from $1.2m losses last time, on turnover that was up 99.4% at $27.6m.

BE Aerospace Inc has reported second quarter net losses of $396,000, against $964,000 profits last time, on turnover that rose 4.1% at $57.5m; mid-term net losses were $375,000, against $2.0m profits last time, on turnover up 0.2% at $113.0m.

Cincinnati Bell Inc saw third quarter net profits up 42.9% at $28.7m, on turnover up 4.5% at $327.1m; nine month net losses were $3.8m, against $51.5m profits last time, on turnover up 9.7% at $992.9m. Net per share rose 38.7% to $0.43 in the quarter.

Conner Peripherals Inc has reported third quarter net profits up 31.0% at $13.4m on turnover that rose 22.8% at $687.2m; net profit for the nine months fell 44.4% at $36.4m after a $6.2m gain on repayment of debt, on turnover that rose 9.4% at $1,939.9m. Net per share, up 25% at $0.25 in the quarter, fell 39% to $0.67 in the nine months.

Data General Corp has reported a fourth quarter net profit $1.5m against a loss last time of $6.2m on turnover that rose 6.9% at $312.8m; net loss for the year to September 30 was $46.7m after a $43m charge for lay-offs and restructuring, offset by a pre-tax gain of $44.5m on settlement of a software copyright and trade secret lawsuit against Northrop Grumman Corp, down from a loss last time of $87.7m, which was after a restructuring charge of $35.0m, on turnover that rose 3.5% at $1,159.3m. Net earnings per share were $0.04 in the quarter.

Dun & Bradstreet Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 2.9% at $171.5m, after a pre-tax $90m gain from the sale of Interactive Data Corp, which was offset by restructuring expense of $13m and post-employment benefits expense of $77m, against a pre-tax $36m gain from asset sales and $39m of charges largely for revaluation of intangible assets. Quarterly and nine-months net were also affected by a pre-tax $26m gain from a change in eligibility requirements for a post-retirement medical plan. Turnover rose 10.8% at $1,333.4m; nine month net profits rose 1.5% to $426.5m, after a pre-tax $28m gain from the sale of warrants from divestiture of Donnelley Marketing in 1991, against a $56m pre-tax restructuring gain from the sale of businesses, offset by $56m of restructuring expenses, on turnover that was up 10.7% at $3,860.5m. Net earnings per share rose 3.1% to $1.01 in the quarter, 1.6% to $2.51 in the three quarters.

Frame Technology Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 60.8% at $5.4m on turnover up 39.1% at $27.8m; nine month net profits rose 79.0% to $14.2m on turnover up 33.6% at $74.4m. Net earnings per share rose 57.9% to $0.30 in the quarter, 68.1% to $0.79 in the three quarters.

Genicom Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 250.4% at $1.7m, on turnover up 36.9% at $78.5m; nine month net profits rose 119.2% to $4.6m, after a $1m charge for write-offs associated with an acquisition, against a $1.1m gain last time from repayment of debt, on turnover up 27.0% at $218.5m. Net earnings per share rose 250% to $0.14 in the quarter, 111.1% to $0.38 in the three quarters.

Komag Inc has reported third quarter net profits up 102.5% at $30.4m, on turnover up 35.3% at $132.8m; nine month net profits rose 54.5% to $68.6m, on turnover that was up 22.2% at $358.7m. Net earnings per share were up 86.2% to $1.21 in the quarter, 44.8% to $2.81 in the three quarters.

Legato Systems Inc saw third quarter profits up 62.2% to $1.7m, on turnover 81.2% at $8.0m; nine month net profits rose to $3.8m, from $638,000 last time, on turnover up 81.4% at $20.7m. Net per share rose 18.8% to $0.19 in the quarter, to $0.52 in the three quarters, from $0.10 last time.

Loral Corp has reported second quarter net profits up 23.8% at $82.1m, on turnover up 19.3% at $1,605.0m; mid-term net profits rose 24.8% to $151.3m, on turnover that was up 15.6% at $3,109.1m. Net earnings per share rose 20.5% to $0.47 in the quarter, 22.5% to $0.87 in the half.

MCI Communications Corp has reported a third quarter net loss of $240.0m after an $831m restructuring charge, against profit last time of $220.0m, on turnover up 13.3% at $3,862m; nine month net fell 59.0% at $264.0m on turnover up 12.0% at $11,128m. Net per share fell 66% to $0.38 in the nine months.

Micom Communications Corp has reported second quarter net profits down 25.9% at $1.6m, on turnover down 1.7% at $23.1m; mid-term net profits fell 30.7% to $3.0m, on turnover down 1.2% at $46.0m. Net earnings per share were down 26.3% to $0.14 in the quarter, and fell 29.7% to $0.26 in the half.

WinStar Communications Inc has reported first quarter losses of $2.3m up from lossess last time of $1.0m on turnover that rose 34.4% to $7.6m.

Telular Canada Inc has reported net losses for the year to June 30 the equivalent of $6.8m, against profits the previous year of $1.4m, on turnover that rose from $793,326 up to $6.8m. The figures were converted at $0.7487 to the Canadian dollar.
