Brooks Automation Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits up 222.1% at $1.8m on turnover up 88.3% at $14.5m; net profits for the year to September 30 were up 210.8% at $4.6m on turnover that rose 90.1% to $45.7m. Net earnings per share rose 91.7% to $0.23 in the quarter, 125% to $0.72 in the year.

Docucon Inc has reported third quarter net losses of $182,273, down from $496,763 losses last time, on turnover that was up 3.3% at $2.3m; nine month net losses were $889,215, down from $1.1m losses last time, on turnover that was up 26.0% at $8.2m.

Digital Biometrics Inc has reported fourth quarter net losses of $2.3m, up from a loss of $2.0m last time, on turnover down 35.2% at $1.1m; net losses for the year to September 30 were $3.3m up from $3.8m last time on turnover 13.6% ahead at $9.1m.

Icot Corp has reported first quarter net profits up to $816,000, from $212,000 profits last time, on turnover that rose 9.5% to $3.4m. Net earnings per share were up to $0.07, from $0.02 last time.

Lam Research Corp has reported first quarter net profit up 102.4% at $30.5m on turnover up 62.2% to $257.7m. Net per share rose 72.4% to $1.00.

Multi-Corp has reported third quarter net losses the equivalent of $844,304, down from $1.3m losses last time, on turnover up 178.6% at $1.9m; nine month net losses were $2.6m, up from $1.4m losses last time, on turnover up 128.4% at $4.8m. Figures converted at $0.7381 to the Canadian dollar.

Netstar Inc saw fourth quarter net losses of $2.0m, up from $1.4m losses last time, on turnover up to $778,000; net losses for the year to September 30 were $4.9m, up from $3.8m losses last time, on turnover up to $3.0m, from $312,000 last time.

Porta Systems Corp has reported third quarter net losses of $13.1m, after a $1.9m extraordinary gain, down from $18.9m, on turnover down 15.1% at $47.9m; nine month net losses were $3.1m, down from $18.5m losses last time, on turnover down 23.9% at $14.7m.

Simtek Corp has reported third quarter net losses of $690,733, down from $814,031 losses last time, on turnover up 4.6% at $375,150; nine month net losses were $1.6m, down from $3.8m losses last time, on turnover that was up 141.8% at $1.9m.

Systemix Inc has reported third quarter net losses of $11.2m, which were the same a year ago, on turnover that was also static at $635,000; nine month net losses were $35.2m, up from $28.8m losses last time, on turnover that fell 48.0% at $1.7m.

US Long Distance Corp has reported fourth quarter net profits up 97.6% at $12.0m on turnover up 23.8% at $225.0m; net profits for the year to September 30 were up 11.8% at $4.3m on turnover that rose 25.9% to $66.0m. Net earnings per share rose 93.0% to $0.83 in the quarter, 7.4% to $0.29 in the year.

Xiox Corp has reported first quarter net losses of $460,768, compared with a profit last time of $100,858 on turnover that was down 21.6% to $1.6m.

Abacus Plc saw net profits for the year to September 30 up 52.3% at ú4.3m, on turnover up 77.4% to ú66.5m. Pre-tax profits were up 56.0% at ú6.6m. Earnings per share rose 33.0% to 12.9 pence.

Sanderson Electronics Plc has reported net profits for the year to September 30 that were up 29.7% at ú3.8m, on turnover that rose 70.1% to ú57.8m. At the pre-tax level, profits were up 25.5% at ú5.3m. Net earnings per share rose 20.5% to 8.8 pence.
