Microsoft Corp has reported third quarter net profits up 5.3% at $256.0m after a charge of $120m for litigation, on turnover that rose 29.8% at $1,244m. Net profit for the nine months increased by 13.9% at $784.0m, on turnover that rose 24.0% at $2,804m. Net earnings per share rose by 5% to $0.84 in the quarter, and by 13% to $2.58 in the nine months.
