Verifone Inc has reported fourth quarter net profits down 22.1% at $5.9m on turnover up 9.6% at $68.5m; net profit for the year to December 31 was down 10.4% at $21.5m on turnover that rose 14.4% to $258.9m. Net earnings per share slid 24.2% to $0.25 in the quarter, 11.8% to $0.90 in the year.
