Silicon Graphics Inc has reported third quarter net profits up 73.3% at $35.1m on turnover that rose 39.0% at $376.3m. Nine-month net profit rose 75.7% at $97.2m on turnover that rose 35.8% at $1,048.3m. Net earnings per share rose 64% to $0,23 in the quarter, 66% to $0.63 in the nine months. Comparisons are with figures periods restated to reflect a change in the methods of accounting for taxes.
