Dell Computer Corp hsa reported third quarter net profits up 92.3% at $75.3m, on turnover that was up 60.0% at $1,415.7m; nine month net profits rose 132.1% to $190.3m, on turnover that was up 53.8% at $3.8m. Net earnings per share rose 74.4% to $0.75 in the quarter, 102.1% to $1.92 in the three quarters. Earnings per share amounts take into account a two-for-one stock split on Ocetober 27 1995.
Quantum Corp saw second quarter net profits down 54.7% at $22.0m, on turnover up 42.3% at $1,033.0m; mid-term net profits fell 67.3% to $35.0m, on turnover up 36.0% at $1,974.4m. Net earnings per share fell 56.5% to $0.37 in the quarter, 64.2% to $0.61 in the half. The figures have been restated to reflect revised second quarter turnover.
Kyocera Corp has reported net profits for the six months to September 30 up 175.8% to the equivalent of $503.6m, on turnover that rose 39.0% to $3,128.1m. Net per share rose 175.3% to $2.68. Figures converted at $0.0098 to the Japanese yen.
CML Microsystems Plc has reported net profits for the six months to September 30 down 47.3% at #629,000, on turnover down 8.3% to #8.8m. At the pre-tax level, profits were down 57.3% at #725,000. Earnings per share fell 57.4% to 3.38 pence.
De La Rue Plc reported net profits for the six months to September 30 that were down 5.1% at ú51.9m, on turnover that rose 7.3% to ú347.4m. At the pre-tax level, profits fell 5.1% at ú69.1m. Earnings per share fell 17.3% to 23.0 pence.
Kalamazoo Plc has reported net profits for the six months to September 30 that were down 25.4% at ú1.4m on turnover that rose 14.5% to ú32.4m. At the pre-tax level, profits were down 33.0% at ú2.0m. Earnings per share fell 26.5% to 3.66pence.
Vodafone Group Plc has reported net profits for the six months to September 30 up 12.4% at ú134.2m, on turnover that rose 18.9% to ú666.4m. At the pre-tax level, profits were up 11.6% at ú208.1m. Earnings per share were up 12.0% to 4.39 pence.
