The Fairchild Corporation, Chantilly, Virginia-based manufacturer of aerospace fasteners as well as semiconductor and compact disk equipment, has reported fourth quarter net profits of $8.9m up from losses last time of $7.0m on revenue up 56.9% at $241.7m; net profits for the year fell to $1.3m from $189.7m on revenue that increased by 47.6% to $738.5m. Net earnings per share rose to $0.51 in the quarter, but declined to $0.08 in the year.
