Symantec Corp, the Cupertino, California-based utilities software company, has reported second quarter net profits down 66.9% at $6.8m on revenues up 0.8% at $140.1m; mid-term net profits fell 96.1% to $1.5m on revenues up 7.0% at $293.2m. Net per share fell 65.7% to $0.12 in the quarter, down 95.5% to $0.03 in the half. Second quarter and six month figures include charges of $6.1m and $41.2m respectively for acquisition and restructuring charges.
