COMPANY RESULT: SPECTRUM SIGNAL PROCESSING INC

Spectrum Signal Processing Inc. has reported fourth quarter net profits up to $887,000 compared to $62,000 for the same period last year on revenue up 71.8% at $9.5m. For the year ended December 31, the company reported net profits of $1.6m against net losses of $753,000 in 1995. Earnings per share jumped to $0.10 compared to $0.01 in the quarter, and were $0.17 for the year. All figures were calculated at an exchange rate of $0.7313 per Canadian dollar.
