COMPANY RESULT: SAWTEK INC

Sawtek Inc, the Orlando, Florida, electronic signal component supplier, reported net profits up from $1.3m to $5.4m on revenue that increased by 42% to $21.2m for the third quarter to June 30. Net per share rose 83% to $0.25. For the nine months, it recorded profits of $14.6m compared with a net loss of $4.2m. Last year’s figures include a one-off charge relating to an employee share ownership scheme.
