COMPANY RESULT: PLATINUM SOFTWARE CORP

Platinum Software Corp, the Irvine, California-based provider of ERP software, has reported a second-quarter net loss of $6.8m on revenue up 54.2% at $33.4m, compared to net income of $2.0m, or $0.07 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Six-month net loss was $2.1m on revenue up 59.6% at $33.4m, against net income of $3.3m, or $0.15 per share, last year. Results for the quarter include a restructuring charge of $6.0m and an acquisition-related charge of $6.4m.
