OrCAD Inc, the Beaverton, Oregon Windows EDA software and services supplier, has reported fourth quarter net profits down 13% at $2.1m on revenues down 1% at $12.9m; net profits for the year to December 31 1998 were down 24% at $3m on revenues that rose 8% to $47.7m. Net earnings per share fell 12% to $0.22 in the quarter, down 25% to $0.31 in the year. The annual figures include $3.1m merger and acquisitions charges. Charges associated with the failed Summit Design, Inc. merger, terminated last Tuesday, are predicted to be approximately $1m and will be taken in first quarter 1999.
