COMPANY RESULT: OCTEL COMMUNICATIONS CORP

Octel Communications Corp reported fourth-quarter net income up 8% at $21.9m on revenue up 6% at $182.9m. For the year, net income rose 6% to $53.6m on revenue up 12% at $631.1m. Earnings per share rose 11% to $0.41 for the quarter, and 3% to $0.98 for the year.
