National Semiconductor Corp, the Santa Clara, California-based chipmaker, has reported second quarter net losses of $94.4m down from profits last time of $28.9m on revenues down 29.1% at $510.1m; mid-term net losses were $199.2m down from profits last time of $91.5m on revenues down 28.8% at $979.7m. Second quarter losses include a charge of $12.5m for the restructuring of operations. Comparative losses include $32.5m of merger costs.
