COMPANY RESULT: LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES INC

Lucent Technologies Inc has reported second quarter net profits of $66m, compared with a pro forma loss last time of $103m, on revenue that rose 12.5% at $5.1bn. Net earnings per share were $0.10. Lucent spun off from AT&T Corp last year.
