COMPANY RESULT: INGRAM MICRO INC

Ingram Micro Inc, Santa Ana, California-based distributor of computer products, has reported fourth-quarter net income up 6.1% at $73.2m on revenue up 21.3% at $6.22bn. For the full year, net income rose 26.6% to $245.2m on revenue up 32.9% at $22.03bn. Earnings per share rose 4.3% to $0.49 for the quarter and 24.2% to $1.64 for the year. Operating expenses exclude non-cash compensation charges of $1.1m and $1.7m for the quarter and year- ago quarter respectively, and $4.6m and $7.2m for the years ended January 2, 1999 and January 3, 1998, respectively.
