Hutchison Whampoa Limited, the Hong Kong based conglomerate with substantial telecommunications interests and a 49% ownership in the UK’s Orange Plc, has reported net profits for the six months to June 30 of $1.014bn unchanged from last year on turnover that rose 15.4% to $2.69bn. Earnings per share fell 3.6% to $0.27. The Hong Kong company reports in US Dollars.
