COMPANY RESULT: EXCEL SWITCHING CORP

Excel Switching Corp, Hyannis, Massachusetts maker of open switching platforms for telecommunications networks, has reported third-quarter net income up 142% at $5.2m on revenue up 43% at $23.6m. Nine-month net income rose 116% to $12.6m on revenue up 41% at $62.6m. Earnings per share rose 150% to $0.15 for the quarter, and 118% to $0.37 for the nine months.
