Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp, Salt Lake City, Utah-based provider of 3D graphics hardware and software, has reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.4m, or $0.13 per share, on revenue up 18.4% at $58.4m, compared to a net loss of $2.1m in the year-ago quarter. For the year, net loss was $16.1m on revenue up 20.3% at $191.8m, against net income of $5.1m, or $0.53 per share, last year. Results for the full year include an acquisition charge of $20.8m. Earnings have been restated to comply with SEC guidelines concerning the write-off of in-process research and development. Without the restatement, earnings for the fourth quarter would have $2.8m, or $0.26 per share, and for the year would have been a loss of $13.3m.
