Electronic Data Systems Corp, Plano, Texas, has reported fourth- quarter net income down 49.8% at $142.2m on revenue up 4.3% at $4.41bn. For the year, net income rose 1.8% to $743.4m on revenue up 10.9% at $16.89bn. Earnings per share fell 49% to $0.29 for the quarter and rose 1.4% to $1.50 for the year. Revenues include charges related to a contract dispute of $200m, while earnings include pre-tax charges and adjustments totaling $190.5m. One- time items aside, earnings were $264.1m, or $0.53 per share, beating the First Call estimate by a penny.
