COMPANY RESULT: DESKTOP DATA INC

Desktop Data Inc reported fourth quarter net profits up 56.8% at $1.5m on revenue up 43.5% at $9.7m; net profit for the year was up 114.6% at $4.6m on revenue that rose 45.7% to $33.8m. Net per share, off 32.0% to $0.17 in the quarter, rose 20.2% to $0.52 in the year.
