Cylink Corp, Sunnyvale, California-based encryption and network security company, has reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $6.6m on revenue down 25.1% at $10.2m, up from a loss of $1.2m in the year-ago period. For the year, net income was $5.2m, or $0.18 per share, on revenue down 10.3% at $42.8m, against a loss of $61.7m last year. Results for the full year include a one-time gain on the sale of a business of $22.8m, while full-year results for 1997 include acquisition-related charges of $63.9m.
