Creative Technology Ltd, Singapore-based maker of PC sound and graphics cards, has reported second quarter net income up 313% at $60.5m on revenues up 8% at $428.7m; mid-term net profits fell 3% to $82m on revenues up 3% at $707.7m. Earnings per share rose 326% to $0.64 in the quarter, down 3% to $0.86 in the half. The 1997 second quarter figures are affected by a one-time $60m write-off.
