COMPANY RESULT: AXENT TECHNOLOGIES INC

AXENT Technologies Inc, the Rockville, Maryland-based information security specialist has reported second quarter net profits down 12.5% at $1.5m on revenue up 73.9% at $9.3m; mid-term net losses were $25.2m down from profits last time of $2.8m on revenue which rose by 85.1% at $17.4m. Net per share fell 25.0% to $0.12 in the quarter.
