Astea International Inc, Horsham Pennsylvania client-server software vendors, reported a
first-quarter net loss of $16.7m, the high end of the estimate it announced last week (CI No 3130),
on revenue down 7% at $13.8m, compared to a loss last time of $2m. Included in the results is a
$5.3m restructuring charge related to layoffs and office closings and other operating charges of
$3.1 million.
