ADC Telecommunications Inc, Minneapolis, Minnesota-based provider of networking hardware for telephone companies, reported net income up 45% at $28.9m on revenue up 45% at $279.2m. Midterm net income increased 8% to $39.3m on revenue up 51% at $536m. Earnings per share rose 47% to $0.22 for the quarter, and 7% to $0.30 for the half-year. Midterm results include non-recurring charges of $22.7m for the first half of 1997.
