Compagnie Generale d’Electricite SA and Fiat SpA have now sealed their agreement under which CGE’s Alcatel NV will take control of Fiat’s Telettra SpA and the two will build small stakes in each other, buying in the market and issuing convertible bonds to each other: CGE will build to 3% of Fiat over four years and Fiat will buy up to 6% of CGE.
