CommuniGate Systems, a provider of scalable unified communications technology, has added a new offering to its unified communications application suite, Pronto! version 4.0.

The fully unified communication app support telecom operators to deliver flexible voice and data applications under their brand, to their business and consumer subscribers wherever they are, using whichever internet connected device they choose.

The Pronto leverages on CommuniGate Pro server technology, to provide High Definition (HD) Voice VoIP and Video, mobile VoIP (mVoIP), and social network integration (including Twitter, Facebook).

In addition, the offering provides virtualised IP PBX, HD conference calling, instant messaging (IM) and presence, email, address books, calendaring, collaboration, mobile synchronisation, and personal file storage.

CommuniGate said that the new Pronto offering is available in both the Flash-based web version, Pronto! Web, and the new desktop client Pronto! Pro.

Both web 2.0 and desktop versions use the same super efficient code base, and have an API to integrate to other business productivity applications.

The offering integrates all types of communication into a single dashboard, allowing operators to offer subscribers one application, one experience, under one brand.

CommuniGate Systems vice president of marketing Scott Stonham said their telecom operator partners are telling them that Pronto! 4.0 is an flexible unified communications application they have seen.

"The combination of the ubiquity of Pronto! Web and the desktop power of Pronto! Pro is helping them deliver new value added services to their subscribers that previously were not commercially or technically viable," Stonham said.
