Several large Indian companies are already transacting through the Gate2biz.net e-marketplace. DCM Shriram Consolidated Limited (DSCL), a publicly listed company with a core sector business portfolio comprising fertilizers, chemicals, plastics, cement, textiles and sugar, is the first company to procure its indirect goods online. Hindalco Industries, India’s largest integrated aluminium producer, has already conducted a successful reverse auction. Tata International, a non-commodities trading and export company, is selling globally using Gate2biz.net and more than 30 suppliers including HCL Infosystems, Clips India, Carrier Aircon, Fedders Lloyd, Tata McGrawHill, Escorts Hospital and Groz Engineering Tools.
