Command Technology Inc, of Alameda, California has launched SPF/2 1.0, an OS/2 text editor that it says is equivalent to ISPF/PDF on IBM 370-type mainframes. It is designed to enable MVS and Cobol programmers to work on PS/2s without the need to learn a new program. SPF/2 offers 3270 emulation and an interface to IBM’s REXX language for macros, and uses virtual memory to handle very large files up to the limits of available work space on hard disk or memory boards. It sells for $300.
