COMDISCO TO SETTLE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE INCOME TAX AUDIT

US computer leasing giant Comdisco Inc has paid over $49.6m to Uncle Sam and will have to find an additional $15.5m interest for which it says it has adequate reserves – to settle an Internal Revenue Service income tax audit for 1983 and 1984, but looks to recover the sum paid with interest over three years through tax carry-backs.
