Folks at the Interface Group, the entity that owns Comdex, simply love to brag about how well attended and big it is: this time president Sheldon Adelson was given to saying that there were more reporters covering Comdex last week than were covering presidential candidates Bush, Dukakis and Jackson; Adelson recently bought the Sands Hotel and Casino in Vegas where Comdex/Fall is always held for $110m, and plans to build another 1,000 rooms and an extension for shows.
