Dataworld Computers of Taiwan is causing something of a stir with an 80286 board – using a 12MHz iteration of the part from Advanced Micro Devices Inc – running at 33.6MHz: it is promising 100MHz next year, and Intel Corp is said to want to take a close look at the board to find out how it’s done.
