A facsimile-server service based on equipment supplied by Swiss-Russian venture AviComp Service AG, has been launched in Moscow by the telecommunications company ASVT. The service, similar to the one already operated by Sprint International Inc, is only available to users of the Iskra telecommunications network initially but will be ext-ended to public telephone system users during the summer. Users must pay an initial 2000 rouble hook-up fee plus as yet unpublished transmission charges.
