Philadelphia cable television operator Comcast Corp, which has interests in several US cellular franchises, is to pay up to $100m for almost 10% of Fleet Call Inc, which is trying to build a US-wide Specialised Mobile Radio network: Comcast conditionally agreed to pay $50m for 3.57m shares at $14 a share in September, giving it 4.6%, and may invest another $50m, buying at 90% of market value, in 1995.
