Hewlett-Packard Co and Comcast Corp’s Comcast Cable Communications unit say Comcast expects to deploy Hewlett’s cable modem system to Comcast customers in up to five US cities by the end of 1996: the broadband Internet delivery system, which includes the cable modems, will bring high-speed access to the Internet, interactive services and on- line content to Comcast customers through their home computers; during the next year, Comcast said it expects 10,000 Baltimore County cable television subscribers to sign for broadband Internet access.
