The Juniper Networks MX-series portfolio of ethernet services routers claims to deliver increased network performance, scalability and reliability in a broad range of platforms, including the MX240, MX480 and MX960.
The routers Comcast is now purchasing are expected to be incorporated into the company’s metro regional network architecture, which carries traffic for all of its services.
Kim Perdikou, executive vice president and general manager of infrastructure products group at Juniper Networks, said: We’re pleased to expand our relationship with Comcast to help support the delivery of their residential and business services.
We believe this expansion will strengthen the relationship and could lead to new opportunities for Comcast to deploy Juniper’s service-enabling network infrastructure in additional parts of its network, such as its Converged Regional Access Network.
