Advanced Logic Research Inc, Irvine, California and ColorAge Inc of Billerica, Massachusetts are to integrate the ALR Revolution Q-SMP multiprocessor personal computer server into the ColorQ 4000, ColorAge’s dual-copier digital colour printer server for production environments. The ColorQ 4000 Series runs under Microsoft Corp’s Windows NT Advanced Server 3.5 and connects colour copiers from Canon Computer Systems Inc and Xerox Corp to virtually any network. Running on the ALR Revolution Q-SMP, the Color Q4000 Series can be confiured to drive one or two colour copiers simultaneously and uses two or four 90MHz Pentium chips, respectively. The Revolution Q-SMP is the company’s highest performance multiprocessor file-server, capable of supporting up to four 100MHz Pentium processors.
