Both Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and Capital Regional Medical Center will participate in the data sharing program. In addition to these healthcare providers, Capital Health Plan (CHP), a regional payer, may also participate.
Dr Dan Kaelin, chairman of the board for the Big Bend RHIO, said: The electronic sharing of healthcare information will increase the safety and value of care to the patients of our region.
Drawing upon our experience in integrating clinical data from disparate systems, it is Cogon’s goal to help the Big Bend RHIO realize its vision of a secure health information exchange, through the use of which healthcare professionals can improve patient care, added Dr Huy Nguyen, president and CEO of Cogon Systems.
