Cognos Inc said it expects to strike a licencing agreement with Candle Corp next week, under which Candle will build an outsourcing service to complement its web-based performance monitoring package eBA ServiceMonitor and ETEWatch packages (CI No 3,642), using Cognos data analysis and reporting tools. The service will enable Candle customers to evaluate web site performance and traffic monitoring data using Cognos’ Powerplay and Impromptu tools, over links provided by Candle’s Response Time Network (RTN).
