Mike Hensman, managing director of Cognos Ltd based in Bracknell, Berkshire has resigned and direct management duties have been taken over by John McIntyre in his role as vice-president of European operations: Hensman has resigned because of disagreements over strategic direction; however, many insiders feel that the resignation stemmed from the fact that he was passed over for the vice-presidency, which was instead given to an outsider – the same John McIntyre.
