Business intelligence software vendor Cognos Inc has announced deals that will see 18 companies internationally resell or use the firm’s tools in software and service offerings. The announcement follows ComputerWire’s report last week that Candle Corp is using Cognos software in its web performance monitoring offering (CI No 3,643).
The partners, which include Easy Soft Ltd in the UK and Information Interface Systems Inc in California, are based across the US, Canada and Europe. The firms will use the Cognos’ flagship report and query tools, PowerPlay and Impromptu as well as its low cost Novaview tool. The contracts reinforce the Ottawa, Canada-based firm’s claim that it is now the largest player in the BI market.
